About Us

S.W. Farrell and Sons (1979) Limited was established by Stanley Weldon Farrell in 1959 and provides sewer and water installation and repairs around the clock. Bringing in the first backhoe ever within the Ottawa area during the Spring of 1959, providing water and sewer services in a much needed area, where the majority of the outlying area of the City did not have sewer or water mains. There are little to no areas of the City that Stanley has not excavated, his love of the job, and of the area he has serviced reflects in our workmanship.

Our Employees are loyal, hard working and committed to completing all projects safely, professionally and on schedule, some of them have over 30 years experience with our firm. We value our employees experience, work ethic, and excellent professional service they provide to the client and the clients representatives.

Family owned and operated, our firm is now controlled by David and Michael Farrell, while Stanley Farrell maintains the guidance of over 55 years of experience. A third generation, Kurt Farrell C.E.T. has joined up with the team to continue servicing the Ottawa and surrounding areas.

Over the years we have worked for the majority of Ottawas’ General Contractors and Consultants, the City of Ottawa Sewer and Water Departments, Federal Government Institutions, Provincial Government Institutions, Airport Authorities, TransCanada Pipelines, and hundreds of Private property owners and managers.
